Welcome to Tom’s WellnessMy definition of wellness is to be in a state of vibrant health with
abundant physical energy and a positive mental outlook. There are
countless ideas, systems and opinions on how to achieve and maintain
such a level of wellness. On this they all agree.....high level
nutrition, regular exercise and clean air and water are the cornerstones
of a state of vibrant health.
My own 30+ year journey of discovery into attaining and maintaining
wellness includes recovery from 21 surgical procedures and numerous
broken bones and other physical trauma. I have experienced the full
spectrum of “health” from a nearly fatal attack of appendicitis at age
48 to becoming
a sponsored athlete at age 50!

On the high level nutrition side of the equation, I have found that
using whole food concentrates made from vegetables, fruits, herbs,
mushrooms and algae are a vital component to nourishing myself. Our food
supply is so compromised by depleted soils and toxic chemicals that in
order to achieve true wellness, we must include these concentrated
“superfoods” to get all the necessary nutrients so vital in achieving
and maintaining wellness. Furthermore, the Standard American Diet (SAD)
promotes a poor balance of acid/alkaline (pH) in our bodies, which
creates the ideal acidic environment for our most deadly diseases:
cancer, heart disease and auto-immune diseases. “Superfood” concentrates
and other supplements help correct this pH imbalance by adding much
needed alkalinizing elements to our diet.
